afternoon teas/coffees, antique shops, art galleries, arts and craft shows, action-oriented activities, beer festivals and wine tastings, bicycle rides, boat rides, book stores, bowling, concerts, discussion groups, theatrical shows, dining, fairs, cornhole games, hiking, horseback riding, comedy clubs, movies, ice or inline or rollerblade skating, lectures, lunch, museums, picnics, pool/billiards, pub crawls, spectator sports, historical site tours, theater, park walks, etc.
Things that Aren't All that Fun for MePosted on 05/23/2010
I've never enjoyed cooking. It's so time-consuming, messy, and wasteful of esoteric ingredients, of which you always have a surplus because you aren't sure you want to put that much pungence into the dish, though directed in the recipe. You have ingredients that were hard to find that perish in a short time and that cost as much as the entire dish would cost at a restaurant, and you want to find other dishes in which to use them before they rot so you haven't wasted remainders.
Then there's the clean up. More time. Dried skin in the cleaning. Then the specialty skillets and sauce pans and warming pans and colanders and whiskers and measuring devices. For singles, this is all too much work.
The Phoniness of Dancing
I never saw the purpose of moving around simply to be moving around.

I like swimming and canoeing, though I'm deathly afraid of drowning and am blind to the point of not being able to see without prescription goggles while swimming.
