Interests Now (Some Fun, Some Tedious, and Some Developing with New Discoveries and People)Posted on 05/23/2010
I have so many interests that earning a living commonly takes up all of my leisure time. My newest interest, of course, is web site management, and I have a lot to learn.

Occasionally, and counter to an enduring failure to meet a compatible woman of my dreams for the long term, I try to make romantic connections on a few dating sites where I've posted a typical personals profile.
I don’t typically celebrate any holidays (and not even my birthday) unless others in my life happen to. So, I didn’t drink especially heavily on New Year’s Eve or go out, and I don’t overeat over the holidays. My family lives in Virginia, so I don’t have social commitments. Why do think so many people go to the trouble to make these past events, which are often remote in their daily lives, memorable on specific calendar days? Tradition? To give the kids something to remember their childhood by?

Psychologically Me
People don’t confide in me because I don’t take sides, I’m rarely shocked or surprised when they want me to be, and I offer little emotional support. Consequently, and for other reasons, I have few friends and none who like to gossip. I've read that great minds talk about ideas, mediocre minds about events, and small minds about people.
