Too few commas, and the apply contents of a fruit basked are multiplied.

It may sound right to base the agreement of a verb on the plurality of an object of a preposition, but only to the untrained ear.

 

Use grammar rules to the extent that they help others understand your meaning; use rules further to alter another's opinion about your level of education and pedigree.
